SpendMate ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal and business expense management application developed by Bharath Sharavanan. Your privacy matters to us, and SpendMate has been built from the ground up with a privacy-first approach. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
SpendMate does not require you to create an account or sign in. All the financial data you enter — including personal expenses, income records, business sales, costs, and reports — is stored locally on your own device only.
We do not upload, transmit, sync, or otherwise send your financial records to any external server, cloud service, or third party. We simply have no access to your data at all.
SpendMate offers an optional voice-entry feature that lets you add transactions by speaking (for example, "Petrol ₹500"). Voice input is processed on-device or through your device's standard speech recognition service to convert speech to text for entry into the app. Voice recordings are not stored or transmitted by SpendMate itself.
The app allows you to export your financial data as PDF reports. These files are generated and saved directly on your device. You are responsible for how you choose to share or store any exported PDF file.
SpendMate does not display advertisements and does not integrate any third-party advertising networks.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security settings (such as screen lock and device encryption). We recommend keeping your device secured and regularly backing up important information according to your own preferences.
SpendMate is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children, as the app does not collect personal information from any user in the first place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or for legal reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
